Travel planning is becoming one of the principal tools in combating congestion across Tyne & Wear. The Smarter Choices team supports travel planners in each of Tyne & Wear’s five councils, meaning that there is plenty of support to guide you through the travel planning process.

This support has already seen hundreds of organisations across Tyne & Wear embark on the travel planning process, leading to real reductions in congestion on our road network, as well as safer streets, fitter staff and an improved environment.

Get in touch with Smarter Choices or your local council's Travel Planner to join the movement, and feel the difference that a travel plan will make to your business.

You may also be interested in the work of the Tyneside Travel Partnership. The TTP is a voluntary grouping of some of the larger employers on Tyneside, who collaborate on practical travel-planning projects and promotion.
