The Smarter Choices team is based at Nexus House, but funded by and responsible to the Local Transport Plan partners.
Our key aim is to reduce congestion by reducing the number of single-occupancy car drivers on the roads of Tyne & Wear, by providing information and running campaigns to help change people's travel behaviour.
We work in collaboration with a number of partners to help achieve this, including the local authorities, the Highways Agency, and private-sector developers and companies.
